about

Festival Sensorium wants to contribute to the creation of a diversified and engaged cultural environment through a dramaturgy that instead of aestheticizing and recycling the “new dark age” turns to engaged thinking about the future.

Sensorium is a festival and platform for creative encounters connecting new approaches in contemporary music and interdisciplinary creativity in an inclusive space that supports diversity in the broadest sense of the word.

On 14 NOV Sensorium returns to Subdeck. After artists like Doon Kanda, Nazar, DJ Plead, or Honour, Sensorium presents another artist who has left a major mark on the contemporary scene: mobilegirl. As a contemporary and somewhat of an artistic cousin of the likes of Why Be, Dis Fig, M.E.S.H., Kamixlo (…), she has made a name for herself through hybrid club edits of R&B classics. Her debut EP was released on the Stockholm-based label Staycore (e.g. Toxe, Oklou, Lechuga Zafiro, Dinamarca, Mechatok). The Berlin-based artist masterfully travels between genres and tempos and revs up the dancefloor, where soft breaks are just as important as high-energy moments.  mobilegirl’s wide-ranging inspirations defy easy categorization. She thrives in the unexpected, blending genres with a distinct touch. mobilegirl is an NTS Radio resident and co-runs an event series called SCRUB. She has performed all over the place, including CTM Berlin, Final Taipei, Ormside London, Cakeshop Seoul, Nowadays NYC.

Gnäw, is a duo of Iranian born Arash Ghasemi and Finland’s Simo Hakalisto. Together they create experimental narration in music utilizing traditional Persian and Finnish instruments and synthesizers. Their music emerges in the interplay of spiritually wired psychedelia, nocturnal melancholia and impressionistic desert music.

schop1nhauer  is Karlo’s musical project, where his dark aesthetic is transformed into electronic production. Using hardware instruments and samplers, he creates dense, raw compositions, glitchy textures, and layered sound collages on the edge of deconstructed club, experimental, and industrial. His work carries a physical rawness, tension, introspective depth, and a pulsating rhythm that teeters between restlessness and hypnotic immersion. Club aesthetics deconstructed and reassembled into a ritual-like atmosphere.

IRRENAFFORD is a producer and DJ from Kupiansk, Ukraine. In May 2025 she released the EP Rage Against Algorithms as part of her project KILLA SELFIE. Her DJ sets are a high-energy journey across genres and tempos, blending techno, grime, breakbeat, jungle, and footwork with a raw, intuitive flow.

domizako is a Slovakian DJ and producer part of a new wave of fresh talent coming from the area and also part of the Gravity Network roster for 2024. Her production includes percussive heavy-hitters and bass-intensive frequencies, an influence that also infiltrates her DJ performances.  Asides from her fertile self-releasing, she has also put out material on the compilation for the labels like Yuku, Unizone and Amphibian.

Bratislava-based Microchic channels her scattered background into a fluid sound that thrives in the in-betweens, reminding us of the feeling that home is anywhere, where we can rest in ourselves. Her sets traverse multilayered terrain – refined punchiness, broken structures, and bass-heavy rhythms – drawing connections between the mechanical and the emotive, the abstract and the bodily. In 2024, she co-founded Selenite, a club series focused on low-end and more offbeat sonic explorations.

misxo  is a dj and a performance artist hailing from Bratislava. The core of his constantly transforming selection are punchy kicks and beaming melodies from around the world. From experimental takes to strong basics — all you can eat of uncategorizable club sounds. He has played alongside names like DJ K, João Lagrima de Ouro, Safety Trance, Bapari, Total XTC…  He hosts a show on Czech Infame radio (Bambolero), organizes a local club night in Bratislava (Cruise) and a soothing listening event (magnézium).

Turntablist, DJ and producer, Biomat (Bwo Collective) has been mastering the decks for over a decade, with a long-standing affinity for UK sounds. Recently, his sets feature predominantly Amapiano and Gqom. His 2011 album Biotrick, created in collaboration with 3CK, was the first Slovak release to present the turntable as a full-fledged instrument. Two years later, Biomat released his solo album Montáž, using only a loop station, turntable, mixer, and his skillful hands.

Slovak DJ and promoter Tea Tralna describes herself as musically spiritual and strictly eclectic. She enjoys experimenting and connecting seemingly unrelated things. Musically, she is especially drawn to non-linear and unpredictable elements, with a particular inclination towards genres like gqom, amapiano, and funk carioca. Tea Tralna is a member of the BWO collective, which has hosted guests such as Highost, Palmistry, SKY H1, Kamixlo, Gundam, and Kasimyn of Gabber Modus Operandi at its club nights.
